- HIPAA Business Associate
- We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every healthcare client, as required by 45 CFR 164.504(e), and we operate under its terms as a HIPAA Business Associate.
- FTC Safeguards and HIPAA Security Rule
- We build and maintain controls that map to the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314) and the HIPAA Security Rule (45 CFR Part 164, Subpart C). We give you written documentation of those controls to use as evidence in your own compliance program.
- Qualified Individual
- Under the FTC Safeguards Rule, 16 CFR 314.4(a), the Qualified Individual who oversees your information security program may be employed by a service provider. Northwind fills that role or supports the person you designate.

- On request, we provide our written security policies, our most recent internal risk assessment and our subcontractor list.
